Get ready to party Vineyard Haven style. With much anticipation and flurry, the first annual Vineyard Haven Art Stroll, organized by Susan Bowen of the Tisbury Business Association events committee, will be held this Friday, July 15, from 5 to 8 pm along Main Street and Beach Road. Galleries and many shops will remain open, artists will set up displays at strategic locations on Main Street, and live music and refreshments all combine to create a festive event.
Galleries such as Kara Taylor, Peter Simon, Louisa Gould, Shaw Cramer, Kennedy Studios, and Night Heron will welcome visitors with fine art, artists, good conversations, and wine and cheese to savor.
Jeffrey Serusa of Seaworthy Gallery on Beach Road will be hosting visitors in his usual festive style, while Bunch of Grapes presents authors and book signings, and Beadniks offers children exercises in beading in the courtyard near Riley's Reads. Citrine is providing food and music to add to the party atmosphere.
More local musicians will send harmony floating along Main Street as Anthony Esposito from Island Music performs in front of the former Bowl and Board along with acoustic artists including Eric Johnson from Tisberry frozen yogurt.
It's a block party, and artists including Debra Gaines, Sylvie Farrington, Jamie Rogers, and Janet Woodcock, will be setting up displays of their art from the Capawock Theatre to Union Street, lights will be shining, doors thrown open, and people celebrating summer in Vineyard Haven in style.
