Wood and clay transformed

Washington Ledesma Gallery Art is holding an art opening tomorrow, Friday, July 15, from 4 to 8 pm. The show features the work of furniture maker Richard Dunbrack, along with Washington Ledesma’s New Work in ceramics.

Mr. Dunbrack creates his furniture from recycled barn wood and antique oddities. An Island resident for the past three years, he has shown his furniture at Midnight Farm in Vineyard Haven. His pieces add a whimsical touch to the functional.

Mr. Ledesma is well-known for his decorative ceramic vessels and platters, colorful paintings, and popular and uniquely ornamented designs.

The Washington Ledesma Gallery is at 5 Murrant Avenue off Sea Glen in Oak Bluffs. The show continues Saturday, July 16 from 10 to 5 pm and on Sunday, July 17, from 11 am to 4 pm.
