This past Monday and Tuesday, Vineyard Haven's Shaw Cramer Gallery displayed the work of close to 45 Island artists who contributed their art to Art Works, a fundraising benefit for the West Tisbury Free Public Library's Expansion Project.
The artists were asked to contribute work last spring and provided a wide variety of work from oil paintings, sculpture, jewelry, and ceramics to a quilt, a hand-beaded purse, hand-carved decoys, and a hand-knit sweater. The artists donated work for the show, giving from 50 to 100 percent of the income generated to the library.
The artists' appreciation reception was held Monday, July 25, and the gallery was filled with appreciative art patrons and supporters.
