Saving a helpful service
To the Editor:
It was a great pleasure to read that Wayne Lamson and the Steamship Authority are not going to close the airport facility. In my 46 years on the Vineyard, you could not find nicer, more competent, and — more importantly — helpful, people than those at the Vineyard airport ticketing facility.
Regarding the comment about the cost per person relative to the Vineyard Steamship operation, one might wonder why it takes three people to get you on the boat and four or five to park your vehicle.
