Edgartown police Monday recovered a Honda Accord stolen from a home on Clevelandtown Road Friday morning. Police said the car theft appears to be the final act in a destructive spree through the neighborhood.

There is evidence someone broke into a vehicle nearby, then broke into a shed, then tried to cut some bicycles off a car rack, then stole the Honda.

Police found the stolen vehicle in a parking lot near Alley's General Store in West Tisbury, after a caller reported the vehicle had been there for several days.

Police are still investigating the theft, but have not yet made any arrests.

Police reported a very busy weekend in Edgartown with a number of people taken into protective custody but only one arrest.

Greg Pokraka, 43, of Falmouth was arrested Saturday night at the Seafood Shanty restaurant. According to police, Mr. Pokraka got into a loud argument with the restaurant staff, then poured icewater on a waitress. Police sought charges of assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

In Oak Bluffs, police made one arrest this weekend. Michael Noonan, 25, of East Boston was apprehended after a brief foot chase through the downtown business district.

Police first observed Mr. Noonan running out of a private yard. He is charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
