Fickle winds vex Holmes Hole Sailors

The Holmes Hole Sailors have been vexed with light winds most of the summer. But Thursday was delightful with 12 knot winds. Nine boats finished the familiar triangular race led by Andy Berry in Isobar, followed by (2) Jerry Goodale in Stormalong, (3) Dan Culkin in Magic Time, (4) Phil Hale in Wicked, (5) Roger Becker in Gloria, (6) John Stout in Isabella, (7) David Lott in Avanti, (8) Stephen Besse in Apres, and Woody Bowman in Julia Lee.

There was more than enough wind on Sunday for the scheduled Tarpaulin Cove Rendezvous. Only five sailors completed the journey: (1) Mo Flam in Penelope, (2) Jerry Goodale in Stormalong, (3) Andy Berry in Isobar, and (4) Dan Pesch in Remedy.

Commodore Dan Culkin’s Magic Time was the only B Division boat to make the trip.
