At the end of every summer season, The Yard dance colony in Chilmark gives their staff and interns the opportunity to shine. On Friday and Saturday, Aug. 26 and 27, Yard senior staff members Jesse Keller, Aubrey Kupstas, Alison Manning, and Michele Sasso will present their mix of original modern dance pieces.
The performances, dubbed YardWorks, will spill out of the theater and incorporate the environs of the bucolic Yard property and will also include a guest performance by Sandy Broyard's local dance company, What's Written Within, which was recently performed at the Built on Stilts dance festival.
YardWorks, 8 pm, Friday, Aug. 26; 4 and 8 pm, Saturday, Aug. 27, The Yard, Chilmark. $25; $15 for seniors/students; free matinee Saturday, 4 pm. dancetheyard.org; 508-645-9662.
