On Tuesdays and Thursdays through October, Flatbread donates a portion of their pizzas to island nonprofits.

Flatbread Company, located in Nectar’s near the airport, will expand their benefit nights from one to two a week for September and October. The company will donate $3.50 for every large pizza and $1.75 for each small pizza sold to a designated nonprofit every Tuesday and Thursday up until they close for the season on October 31.

Michelle Aluia, benefit coordinator for Flatbread Company Martha’s Vineyard, notes that Tuesdays have traditionally been benefit nights for all 10 of the Flatbread restaurants but given the seasonality of the Vineyard location, they have decided to double up for the next two months.

“We have extended the benefits so that we can accommodate as many of the Island’s wonderful organizations as possible,” she said. The benefit nights for September are as follows:Sept. 1st – MV Boy Scouts. 6th – Vineyard Farm Project. 8th – Island Food Pantry. 13th – Martha’s Vineyard Center for Living. 15th – MV Community Radio WVVY. 20th – Women Empowered. 22nd – ACE MV. 27th – Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. 29th – IMP for Kids.

Flatbread is open seven days a week from 12 noon to 9:30 pm. For more information, visit flatbreadcompany or call 508-693-1137.
