This past Sunday, Sept. 4, as comfortable breezes cooled the grounds at Featherstone Center for the Arts, people gathered under a large white tent to participate in the Second Annual Potters Bowl.
It didn't take long for the display of handmade bowls to be purchased, then filled with the complimentary offering of one of the homemade soups.
The event included an opening reception of The Art of Light Ceramics Show curated by the Island's popular ceramic artist Washington Ledesma. The Virginia Weston Besse Gallery shone with the displays of candle, electric, and solar lit luminaries made by more than a dozen ceramic artists. The show runs through Wednesday, Sept. 14.
