Oak Bluffs police arrest six on long holiday weekend

Oak Bluffs police answered 98 calls over the long Labor Day weekend and made six arrests.

On Friday evening, police arrested an Aquinnah man on an outstanding warrant from Edgartown District Court. At 11:34 pm that evening, police stopped a driver on Sea View Avenue. They arrested Trevor Scanlon, 36, of Edgartown. Police sought charges of operating under the influence of alcohol, speeding, and a marked lanes violation.

On Saturday at 11 pm, police were called to 2 Great Rock Road to investigate a past assault. Later, police arrested William Crabtree, 50, of Oak Bluffs on charges of domestic assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon, and intimidation of a witness.

Shortly after 1 am on Monday, police arrested two men on Circuit Avenue. Nickolas Peters, 29, of Oak Bluffs will face charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Sean O’Brien, 29, of Vineyard Haven was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, threats to commit a crime, and intimidation of a witness.

On Monday morning, just before 9 am, police arrested a Vineyard Haven woman on an outstanding warrant.
