The Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School boys varsity soccer team evened its record at 1-1, following a 5-0 shutout over Dennis-Yarmouth, Friday afternoon at Dan McCarthy Field in Oak Bluffs.

The hosts tallied three times in the first 20 minutes to run away from the Dolphins.

Jack Roberts scored twice; Martin Aranzabe, John Oliveira, and John Marcal all scored a goal for the Vineyarders.

The win was a welcome result after the Vineyard’s opening 4-2 loss to Nauset, Wednesday, in North Eastham.
