Olivia Smith is sixth in USEF national pony competition

Olivia Smith, a seventh grader at the West Tisbury School, placed sixth out of 139 competitors in the over fences class and eighteenth overall in the United States Equestrian Federation’s pony competition finals at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.

Olivia, with her pony, Grand All Over, traveled to the competition with Sarah Doyle from Pond View Farm.

The Pony Finals include the Emerson Burr written test, a practicum if you are one of the top four in your age group (as Olivia was), a model class, an under saddle class, and the over fences class.

Olivia has ridden at Pond View Farm in West Tisbury since she was three years old. Ms. Doyle and Tracey Amaral Olsen are her instructors.
