For years, four ornamental clay flower boxes have quietly graced the stone wall in front of the former Bowl and Board on Main Street in Vineyard Haven. Until this week. Three of the four scrolled pots are in shards now. The large stone pictured here, thought to be the offending missile, nestled among the ruins of one of them recently. “Those pots have been there for years, at least since the trees were planted, and that's at least five years ago,” a saddened Main Street merchant said. "Every day another one gets broken."
