Vineyarders drop Westport for field hockey win

Monday, here, the MVRHS Field Hockey team took sweet revenge from the team that bounced them from the MIAA finals last year, defeating Westport. 3-1.
Lily Gazaille, a senior, scored her first varsity goal giving the Vineyard an early lead.
After the Wildcats evened the count at the half, Maggie Johnson, assisted by Meghan McHugh, gave the lead back to the Vineyard and Sophomore Kendall Robinson's score, with an assist from Johnson, was icing on the cake.
