Seastreak, the New Bedford to Martha’s Vineyard fast ferry, is offering free passage for kids under 12 through November 30 when the ferry line suspends operation until next year. The company hopes to attract families interested in a New Bedford outing to museums, shops and restaurants.
The program allows two children under the age of 12 to ride free on the high speed ferry for each paying adult, according to a press release. “Now parents, grandparents and kids can discover the art, museums, shopping, dining and more that historic New Bedford offers,” Paul Dunphy, general manager, said.
Seastreak operates seasonal ferry service (April through November) between New Bedford and the ports of Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven. The crossing takes one hour. To book reservations and purchase tickets or for more information visit www.seastreakmv.com or call toll-free 866-683-3779.
