Pamela L. Rogers died suddenly Monday morning, September 26, at Henry Mayo Hospital in Valencia, California. She was 61.
Pam was the beloved wife of the late Sergeant John F. Rogers of Edgartown, and daughter of the late Victoria A. Gibb. Born in New Bedford, she moved to the Island in her younger years and resided in Edgartown with the love of her life, John Rogers. After Mr. Rogers died, Pam decided to move to the Cape where she became a pharmacy technician.
Years later Pam decided to retire and move to California, where she lived with her daughter, Heather Rogers, and two grandsons, Hunter and Joey. She is survived by her four daughters, Wendy L. Burke of Yarmouthport, Stephanie A. Johnson of Taunton, Heather J. Rogers of Santa Clarita, Calif., and Kellie Bettencourt-Martin of Oak Bluffs.
Pamela was the sister of three brothers — Alan R. Gibb of New Bedford, John Gibb of Oak Bluffs, and the late Ronald J. Gibb. She is also survived by her grandsons, Patrick, Liam, Aidan, Hunter, Joey, and Andrew; and her nieces and nephews, Christopher, Melissa, Marissa, Jessica, Tori, Sean and Hannah.
There will be a graveside service for Ms. Rogers on Saturday, October 15, at 11 am at the New West Side Cemetery Edgartown.
