Andy Berry, MVRHS assistant principal is shown holding the Jewitt trophy, proof positive that he is the Holmes Hole Sailing Association Sailor of the Year.
Andy Berry, Assistant Principal of the high school, won the coveted Frank Jewett trophy awarded to the Holmes Hole sailor who wins the most points in the Holmes Hole Sailing Association's season-long racing series.
Skippering Isobar, his Cal 33, Andy Berry captured three firsts and placed second four times. He also placed in his division in the 3-day Vineyard Cup Regatta in July and was eighth to finish in the 40-boat Moffett race at season's end.
Also, the Vineyard Haven Yacht Club presented him with the annual Maintenance trophy for customizing, turning an ordinary boat into a champion.
