Hospital offers program for caregivers of Alzheimer's patients
The Martha's Vineyard Hospital will offer a one-hour presentation followed by open discussion on caregiving for all stages of dementia and Alzheimer's disease today, October 20, from 6 pm to 7 pm in the community room of the hospital.
The program's special focus will be on music and art therapy. Participants will learn how integrating these techniques into caregiving may improve quality of life and satisfaction for both caregivers and patients.
The program is presented in recognition of National Alzheimer's Awareness Month and National Hospice Month.
