Photographer and occupy Wall Street MV organizer Sam Hart Low was prepared with a step ladder for the Island version of the national protest.

Groups of Islanders undeterred by blustery winds gathered Sunday afternoon at Menemsha Harbor and at Owen Park in Vineyard Haven to pose for group photos in support of Occupy Wall Street demonstrators now camping in various cities across the country.

Sam Hart Low of Harthaven, Oak Bluffs, one of several Island organizers, gathered more than 30 people for a group photo in Vineyard Haven. Several participants held signs critical of banks and corporations.

Not to be left out in West Tisbury, Marjory Potts said she is urging supporters to gather their "voices and signs" at 10 am, Saturday at West Tisbury town hall for a show of support for OWS.
