The Minnesingers, the 29-member Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School choral group, will sing in Europe during the 2012-13 school year, continuing an every-other-year tradition. Expenses for the trip got a big boost at an auction and mini-concert at Farm Neck on Friday, October 28.
“We are so blessed to have such a supportive community,” said auction coordinator Jennifer Estabrook, the parent of a second year Minnesinger. “There were more friends than parents and we raised more money than last year. I can’t say thank you enough to The Farm Neck staff, Island business community and the parents.”
Fundraising efforts account for half of the travel expenses for each singer. In April, the Minnesingers spent 10 days in Prague and Paris.
