Edgartown alerts residents to property valuation visits
Edgartown assessors advise property owners that personnel from the town's revaluation consultant will visit local properties over the next several weeks, as part of the town's property revaluation.
Principal assessor Jo-Ann Resendez said personnel from Vision Government Solutions will view properties from the exterior only, and all carry of them carry identification.
She said the town updates property values in field visits to make sure local property assessments are in line with real estate market changes, as required by the Department of Revenue.
