Steamship Authority members, meeting Tuesday in Woods Hole, agreed to a five-year lease, beginning December 1, with the Martha’s Vineyard Airport Commission for counter space and office space at the Martha’s Vineyard Airport Terminal.

The space will accommodate the SSA’s Martha’s Vineyard Reservation Office. The airport commission approved the lease last month. The base rent, subject to CPI indexed annual adjustments, is $1,757.41 per month.

Members also approved three-year renewals of the boatline’s license agreements with Cape & Islands Transport Inc., Freedom Cruise Line Inc., and Hyannis Harbor Tours Inc.

Changes from the current agreements include reduced schedules in some cases and the freedom to adjust schedules or transfer ownership in others. Automatic renewal at the end of the three-year term would be allowed.

The members agreed to management’s proposed 2012 capital budget, which includes five new capital projects worth more than $50,000 each. The total cost is estimated at $1.440 million.

The members also voted to make improvements to the Hyannis terminal for passengers and freight traveling on the Iyanough fast ferry to and from Nantucket and continued the Nantucket Super Saver Rate.
