Frustrating

To the Editor:

It continues to be frustrating to live in Edgartown and not have cable/internet service from either Comcast or Verizon. When we bought our current house about 10 years ago, we read an interview with the chairman of Comcast (who has a house on the Island) who said, as I recall, that he “promised to make the Island ‘Comcastic.'”

It’s been almost 10 years of battling to get their attention and commitment, so we can understand the frustration residents of Chappy are experiencing. It is shocking that residents, tourists, etc. have such inadequate telephone, cell phone, internet, TV, etc. service on this Island.
