The annual gingerbread house contest at Waterside Market in Vineyard Haven attracted an unusual entry this year from The Tisbury Ambulance Service. No simple house, this, but a replica of the town's new Public Safety Building on West Spring Street. Fittingly, the "fire house" was delivered with the care that Emergency Medial Services personnel normally reserve for patients being transported to the Martha's Vineyard Hospital — that is, in an ambulance.
