Martha’s Vineyard Community Services (MVCS) announced that Kathleen “KJ” Johnson is the community organization’s new director of development, responsible for providing strategic direction and management to its fundraising and marketing efforts.
“After a long period without a director, we are very excited that KJ has joined our management team,” MVCS executive director Julia Burgess said in a press release. “She brings high energy, organizing skills, a wealth of new ideas, and a history of and commitment to working with the community.”
Ms. Johnson’s background includes capital campaign director with Capital Quest where she assisted nonprofits throughout the country to build effective campaign structures, and development director at the Community Food Bank in Tucson Arizona.
