And they did. Stuff a bus, that is, plus the Christmas stockings of some happy children. More Photos [More Photos]

Hockey players from Martha's Vineyard Regional High School report that their "stuff a bus" project to benefit the Island Food Pantry was a jam-packed success the weekend of December 16-18.

The team utilized one of the high school's buses, which was parked at the MV Ice Arena, and encouraged the community to drop off donations for the food pantry.

Donations by the box- and bagfull began to arrive late afternoon on Friday, December 9. They continued to arrive through Sunday morning. The hockey players boarded the bus around 11 am to deliver everything to the Stone Church in Vineyard Haven, where the food pantry is located.

The donations they unloaded filled the basement room.
