Poem: To One Super Scary Critter
Photo by Julian K. Robinson
It once forced a famous lady named Muffet
to hastily vacate her tuffet.
And according to what historians say,
she also left her curds and whey.
If, for a reason your memory begs,
just imagine a critter with eight furry legs.
My personal courage begins to ebb,
as I picture the creature spinning a web.
Of weapons, spiders employ a medley:
some secrete a poison that's deadly.
This one, fortunately, can do no harm;
it's a replica built at a Vineyard farm.
