This Monday we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a pioneer of Civil Rights. Amid all the special sales hoopla, etc., let us not forget the true purpose of this day and remember the many accomplishments of this very gentle, strong man who helped bring about positive changes for so many. As this date is a Federal holiday, post offices, banks, and schools will be closed for the day.

Please remember if you are emailing me news, send it to the Comcast address at the top of my column.
