Alice Oliveira of New Bedford, died Tuesday, January 17, at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home following a period of declining health. She was 94.
Mrs. Oliveira, a stitcher at Mickey Madan Pocket Book Factory until her retirement, was the beloved wife of the late Antonio C. Oliveira.
She was the beloved mother of George Oliveira of South Dartmouth, David Oliveira of Oak Bluffs and his wife Margaret, and the late Paul Oliveira.
Alice was the loving grandmother of Alicia Oliveira. She was the sister of Jose and George Mendonca, Ernestina Mendonca and Adelina Couto. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Oliveira was the daughter of the late Maria dos Anjos (Sousa) and Mariano Pacheco Mendonca.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 am, Friday at St. Mary’s Church, So. Dartmouth. Burial followed at St. John Cemetery.
