Oak Bluffs

I suppose if I say something about how fortunate we have been this winter with moderate temperatures the norm, we will immediately have a cold snap. It won’t be any more depressing than the mood around New England and the Island after the Super Bowl game on Sunday. Well, like we Red Sox fans say, “wait until next year.”

Make Valentines for the ones you love. The Oak Bluffs Library is sponsoring a Valentine Crafts Saturday, Feb. 11, from 10 am to 12 noon. This event is for all ages and it’s free.

On Saturday, Feb. 11, from 8 am to 4 pm the Y is holding a cycle-a-thon in the spirit of celebrating community love this Valentine’s Day to benefit their Y Scholarship Program. There will be 10 bikes of cyclers riding for 8 hours. Cyclers will ride in one-hour intervals and collect donations to sponsor part of their ride.
