The following is a list of Valentine-themed events happening on the Island starting Thursday, Feb. 9, and running through Valentine's Day, this coming Tuesday, Feb. 14.

Thursday, Feb. 9

Happy Valentine's Day Cooking Class from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Atria Restaurant in Edgartown. With chef Christian Thornton and ACE MV. Pre-register: 774-310-1131. $45.

Saturday, Feb. 11

Valentine Crafts from 10 am to 12 noon at the Oak Bluffs Library, for all ages. Free. 508-693-9433.

Valentine's Auction from 6:30 to 10 pm at the M.V. Rod and Gun Club in Edgartown. Benefits M.V. Girls Hockey. $25; $40 per couple. 508-560-1105.

Play: "Love Letters" at 7:30 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Chapel in Vineyard Haven. Play by A.R. Gurney, edited and directed by Leslie J. Stark, and features three pairs of performers: "The Early Years" with Judy and Tad Crawford, "Becoming Adults" with Annie and Peter Palches, and "The Later Years" with Janet Holladay and Leslie J. Stark. Champagne & chocolate reception follows. $10; $25 patron; $100 donor. 508-693-8910.

Sunday, Feb. 12

Tuesday, Feb. 14

Valentine Variety Concert & Show at 1:30 pm at the Tisbury Senior Center. Selections from "Carousel," "Show Boat," Sesame Street," The Sound of Music" and more with Vintage Voices and musical director Philip Dietterich. Free.
