New gallery at Workout

On Friday, Feb. 24, the Vineyard Tennis Center Workout and Spa at the airport will debut its first exhibit of photographs in the new gallery space. An opening reception is scheduled for 5 to 7 pm featuring photographs by Alida O’Loughlin, gallery coordinator.

Art in the Stacks

Nancy Crossley Blank is the featured artist at the Vineyard Haven Library for the month of February. Ms. Blank is showing mixed media works using silkscreen, graphite, transfers, and acrylic paint. A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design and the Maryland Institutes’ College of Art, Ms. Blank currently works at Featherstone Center for the Arts where she teaches frequent classes and exhibits her work.

Fabled fourth-graders on stage

West Tisbury School fourth-graders are putting on a show this weekend, at the Chilmark Community Center. The production of adapted Aesop’s Fables, a collaboration with ArtFarm Enterprises, is Friday, Feb. 17 at 6:30 pm and Saturday, Feb. 18, at 4 pm. Admission is free, and food donations to the Island Food Pantry are accepted. For more information, email
