The ArtCliff Diner was a busy place for a good cause Saturday morning. Gina Stanley, owner of the popular Beach Road restaurant, manned the grill as members of Martha’s Vineyard Cub Scout pack 90 delivered food and cleaned tables.

Volunteers scrambled to serve pancakes, sausage, eggs and more to breakfast patrons. There were no breakfast checks, only a box for donations. All that good food added up to $1,208 raised for the Island’s scouting program.

Cub Scout Tripp Hopkins, 9, was among those helping out. Asked what he liked about being a scout, Tripp said, “I like the camping and doing activities with other boys and helping them to know scouting better.”
