Besse and Iadicicco took first place in Island Bridge Club match
Barbara Besse and Bob Iadicicco took first place at the Thursday, February 23, Island Bridge Club (IBC) competition. Less than a percentage point behind, in second place, were Carol Whitmarsh and Dotti Arnold.
Ency and Robert Fokos took third place. Four tables were in play.
A week earlier, Barbara Besse and partner David Donald took first place, Gerry Averill and Sue Collinson came in second, and Carol Whitmarsh and Dotti Arnold were the third-place team. On February 16, five tables were in play.
The ACBL-sanctioned Island Bridge Club duplicate competition is held Thursday evenings at 7 pm at the Up-Island Council on Aging Howes House in West Tisbury. Players needing a partner are urged to telephone 508-693-3758 by noon on Wednesday for assistance. The cost is $5 a session.
