The Martha's Vineyard Airport has scheduled a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) drill on Sunday, March 18. The exercise is designed to provide airport and Island emergency responders with practical training, and meet FAA requirements.

The drill will begin at approximately 10 am and end at 1 pm. During that time Island residents can expect to see and hear police, fire and emergency vehicles, as well as smoke.

Airport users may experience delays accessing the Airport terminal, parking lots, Steamship Authority Reservations office, Airport Laundromat, Plane View Restaurant and hangars, airport officials said in a press release.

The rain date is Sunday, March 25.
