Outstanding performance
To the Editor:
Congratulations to the girls varsity basketball team for an outstanding performance.
Who could have guessed, even late into the season, that they would qualify for the state tournament, let alone play in the semi-finals.
Kudos to the girls for their spunk, hard work, and spirit, and especially to Jennie Lindland for earning a spot on the league all star team, as well as the New Bedford Girls and Boys Club All Star Team; and to Jennie and Maggie Riseborough for earning their way to the Cape and Islands All Star Team.
Kudos also to Lisa Stewart and the coaching staff, for their patience and belief in the girls. Nice job, well done.
