Seastreak will launch its 2012 season in May with fast-ferry service from New Jersey, New York City, and New Bedford to Martha's Vineyard.
Non-stop ferry service to Oak Bluffs from Highlands, N.J., and the East 35th Street pier in New York City will run from May 24 to September 3, and on Columbus Day weekend (Oct. 5-8), according to a press release.
One-way tickets are $155 and round-trip $230. Holiday weekend prices are $175 for one-way tickets and $275 for round-trip. Special rates are available for children. A $599 weekend get-away package available through June includes round-trip ferry transportation from New Jersey or New York City for two, and a two-night stay at the Island Inn in Oak Bluffs.
From May 1 through October 31, travelers may board Seastreak catamarans at 49 State Pier in New Bedford for a one-hour trip to Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs. Adult tickets are $34 one-way and $68 round-trip. Senior rates are available for adults 65 and over. Starting this year, kids ride free on the New Bedford-Martha's Vineyard service all season long. Some restrictions apply.
Seastreak also offers a $349 mid-week hotel package for travelers headed to Martha's Vineyard from New Bedford. The package includes two round-trip tickets as well as a stay of two consecutive nights, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays, at the Island Inn.
