Island Gymnastics hosts Sandcastle meet

Island Gynmastics hosted the Sandcastle meet Sunday. Islanders competed with gymnasts from the New England Sports Academy (NESA) in Westwood and In Flight Gymnastics of Connecticut.
NESA won the event with a score of 111.9, followed by Island Gymnastics at 106.75 and In-Flight with 102.55.
Individual scores for the Islanders were: Margaret Hoff, Rookie Child Division, 1st place 34.80, beam 9.2, bars 8.4, floor 8.2, vault 9.0; Hannah Arena, Rookie Child Division, 2nd 33.75, beam 9.1, bars 9.0, floor 8.3, vault 7.35; Julia Sayre, Rookie Child Division, 4th 32.50, beam 8.7, bars 8.0, floor 7.9, vault 7.9; Sophie Roads, Rookie Child Division, 5th 30.00, beam 8.3, bars 7.0, floor 7.3, vault 7.4; Kayleigh Bolin, Rookie Junior Division, 3rd 35.00, beam 8.5, bars 8.9, floor 8.8, vault 8.8; Taybor Estrella, Novice Division, 2nd 35.85, beam 9.1, bars 8.3, floor 9.2, vault 9.25; Kasey Varkonda, Novice Division, 4th 34.80, beam 8.7, bars 9.1, floor 8.1, vault 8.9; Rose Herman, Intermediate Division, 1st 35.90, beam 9.1, bars 8.9, floor 9.1, vault 8.8; Sophie Devanski, Intermediate Division, 4th 34.90, beam 9.0, bars 9.2, floor 8.6, vault 8.1.
