Short eight voters Tuesday, Tisbury will roll special into annual

The Tisbury special town meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 3, never got off the ground. The meeting was to begin at 7 pm, but by 7:30 only 92 voters had appeared, eight short of the 100 needed for a quorum.
Town officials will ask voters to do double duty when they gather for Tisbury's annual town meeting at 7 pm, Tuesday, April 10.
Town moderator Deborah Medders said she would convene the annual town meeting at 7 pm, recess the meeting, and call a special town meeting, complete that business, and then reconvene the annual town meeting.
There are 15 articles on the special town meeting warrant.
