YMCA of Martha's Vineyard lifeguard course starts Monday
The YMCA of Martha's Vineyard's lifeguard certification course will be held April 16-20 from 9 am to 5 pm each day.
Participants must attend all classes in order to receive the certification.
They must also be experienced swimmers and be able to swim 300 yards in freestyle and breaststroke. The course will include American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard Certification.

The minimum age is 15. A $125 reimbursement will be offered to all course participants who work 10-plus hours per week from June 25 - September 3. (Reimbursement issued in September).
Scholarship opportunities are available, as are potential employment opportunities upon successful completion of the course.
