Academic achievement
James Lawson, a resident of Vineyard Haven, has been named to the Spring 2012 Champlain College Dean's List for academic achievements, achieving a semester grad point average of 3.5 or higher. Mr. Lawson is majoring in Graphic Design and Digital Media.
Francesca Mancinone of Edgartown graduated Cum Laude from Bridgewater State University with a BA in Communications Studies. She was named to the Dean's list for the spring semester. She is the daughter of Benito and Susan Mancinone of Edgartown.

Jerome W. Pikor of Edgartown for Excellence in Performance, Academic Achievement Award, Feinstein College of Arts and Sciences at Roger Williams University, for his acting in The Beaux Strategem, Endgame, The Forbidden Planet, and an original piece, Come You Back.
Ava Geyer of Chilmark, Princeton University-Lewis Center for the Arts, is one of three Lewis Center for the Arts students to win an Alex Adam '07 award. The award provides funds to travel and create new work this summer.
