On Wednesday, May 16, Island grade school bands showcased their talents at the Martha's Vineyard Regional High School Performing Arts Center in their annual Spring Concert, directed by Julie Schilling, Ruth Scudere-Chapman, and Zachary Tileston.
More than 200 members from the Island's five elementary and middle schools performed in the concert, which began with the smooth sounds of the Jazz Band, picked up the tempo with the Beginners band and the fifth and sixth grade "B" band, and ended with the award-winning seventh- and eighth-grade "A" band.
