On Friday, June 1, and Saturday, June 2, the Rotary Club of Martha's Vineyard presents six-time Emmy Award winning writer/performer Tim Conway, star of "The Carol Burnett Show" and Disney's "Apple Dumpling Gang."
The events will benefit the Cure Alzheimers Fund and Island charities Humanateen (YMCA), Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club, Vineyard Power, and BravEncore, which supports theater at Martha's Vineyard Regional High School (MVRHS).
On Friday from 5:30 to 7 pm, The Boathouse Club in Edgartown will host "An Evening With Tim," at which wine, beer, and hors d'oeuvres will be served, and guests can participate in a meet and greet with Mr. Conway. Tickets are $100, which includes VIP entrance and premium seating for Saturday night's event, and can be purchased at the Edgartown National Bank, MV Boys & Girls Club, Second Hand Store in Edgartown, YMCA Teen Center, Vineyard Power Office, and the MVRHS Box Office.
On Saturday, Mr. Conway will appear in a comedy show at the MVRHS Performing Arts Center along with comedic impressionist and part-time Island resident Louise DuArt as a special guest. The two have performed together for the past decade in the TV show "Together Again," and currently in the live comedy show Tim Conway and Friends. Doors to the event open at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $20; free with admission to Friday's event.
