As the school year draws to a close, Martha’s Vineyard eighth-grade students bid goodbye to their elementary schools in a flurry of graduations held last week.

Ceremonies for eighth-graders took place on June 12 at the Tabernacle for Oak Bluffs School, June 13 at the school gym for Tisbury School, June 14 at the Ag Hall for West Tisbury School, and June 15 at the Old Whaling Church for Edgartown School.

Chilmark School held a ceremony on June 15 for fifth-graders who are moving on to the next level. The Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School’s end of the year ceremony on June 19 included a graduation ceremony for eighth-graders.
