Island Health Care adds new doctor and nurse to staff

Island Health Care, a rural health clinic located at the triangle in Edgartown, announced the addition of nurse practitioner Elizabeth A. Moriarty and Dr. Richard F. Sullivan to the staff.

Ms. Moriarty joined the staff in May, according to a press release. She previously worked for Hampden County Physician Associates in western Massachusetts.

Dr. Sullivan. a longtime Island seasonal resident, takes over as medical director for Dr. John Lamb, a Martha's Vineyard Hospital primary care physician, who filled that role for more than five years.

Dr. Sullivan also works part-time as an attending physician in the Winchester Hospital emergency department as well as the Winchester Hospital Family Medical Center in Wilmington.
