Island Alpaca in Oak Bluffs is experiencing a baby boom of sorts: three, and 15 more to go, owner Barbara Ronchetti reported.
The first born this season was to a black alpaca named Nova’s Twilight. She gave birth on June 18 to a hearty, healthy baby girl, named Talon’s Tallulah.
Kathy Ferland of Edgartown guessed Twilight would be first to give birth and won an Island Alpaca GIft Certificate. Katherine Lawton of Madison, Conn., came in second.
The farm website now features a live Alpaca Cam strategically positioned in the viewing area. Go to islandalpaca.com/alpaca-cam.php.
