Oak Bluffs Summer League basketball underway

The Oak Bluffs Summer Basketball League tipped off Friday night at Niantic Park. Four games were on the docket.

Handy’s Men got off to a hot start with a 74-42 win over M.V.N.F.L. The Handy’s ran out to a 23-9 lead early and took a 20-point lead to the break, thanks to Steve Handy’s three-point shooting.

In the other contests, the Monstars beat the High School Ballers, 65-57; L.D.C topped the Trap Stars, 110-54; and the 2012’ers outlasted the Law Firm, 58-50, in overtime.
