Ava Pearl sails full speed ahead from Rhode Island
The Rhode Island Fast Ferry christened their new ferry, the Ava Pearl, a $6 million state-of-the-art fast ferry on July 5 and the vessel set sail that morning for Martha's Vineyard.
The ferry left at 9 am from the company's dock in Quonset Point, and arrived in Oak Bluffs at approximately 10:30 am. Through July and August, the ferry will travel to and from Rhode Island four times daily, except on July 9, and August 31, special sailing days.
The roundtrip adult fare is $69 when purchased in advance. Discounts are offered for children under 12 and adults over 60.
