The defending champion Hurricanes atoned for one of their two losses this season by bashing the Brewhas 19-7, Monday night at Veterans Park.

Joel Rebello crushed a home run in the third to tie the game and the Hurricanes regained their swagger.
In the fourth, the ‘Canes broke the game open with eight runs on ten hits. The damage would have been worse but Ryan Fisher made a spectacular catch in center field, falling over the fence, to rob Seth Abbott of a home run.
Billy Jackson slugged another homer for the ‘Canes in the seventh, and Matt Gebo hit a consolation three-run dinger for the Brewhas.
In Monday’s first game, the Treds thumped the Sons of Pitches, 11-4. The surging Highlanders stopped the Blazers in the nightcap, 9-6.
