To the Editor:
Habitat for Humanity of Martha’s Vineyard thanks the many people and organizations that made for a successful Fourth of July fireworks cruise into Edgartown harbor. In a working partnership with the Island Housing Trust, the Dukes County Regional Housing Authority, and Island towns, and with the ongoing support of members of the community, we are creating homes that families can afford to purchase and maintain, allowing them to remain here and sustain and support our community.
First and foremost we are very grateful to the SeaStreak Fast Ferry, who graciously agreed to provide the boat and share ticket sales. In addition, we would not have been so successful without the support and efforts of: Bob and Fran Clay, Bob Grant, Chris Rasmussen, Geoghan Coogan, Esq., Greg Orcutt, Heather Gardens, Howell Kelly, John Richardson, Jon Snyder, Mary Sullivan, Neal Sullivan, Pat Crosson, Richard Leonard, Scott Lively and the Katama Company.
Very special accolades go to Jen Powers for her organizational skills and the band members of Goodnight Louise, who donated their services and provided great live music by which we all enjoyed the cruise. Thank you all.
